Who AM I
Hi! My name is Francesca, and, as my name clearly tells, I’m Italian 🍝 and therefore fluent in hand-gesturing 🤌 (a self-assessed C1, I’d dare say).
I also speak English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. I have always felt a strong pull towards languages, so much so that I decided to study Linguistics for my Master degree.
I am also a pragmatic person, that’s why after learning about languages, I asked myself: what if computers could communicate the same way we do? 🤖 And that’s when I pursued a PhD program in Computer Science.
And then... well, I had to start working at some point! Scroll down to see what I have been up to recently ⬇️
Who AM I
I am... a project manager? A learning designer? An editor? Turns out, I am all these things. Check out the different sections to deep dive on my skills.
Editor for MAIZE magazine
Project manager
and product owner
In my daily job I manage multidisciplinary teams all along the different phases of a project lifespan (usually following an Agile methodology), and I leverage the ultimate innovations in NLP in order to deliver excellent results - both in terms of the software and content created, as well as in terms of business results.
a few examples
R&D for a product i managed
I don’t mind public speaking. On YouTube there’s a live presentation I did about an R&D activity
(it’s in Italian, but you can turn the subs on)
learning designer and language teacher
I have been cultivating a passion for teaching for many years, especially for teaching Italian as a foreign language (L2 or LS). I have taught Italian in France and Portugal, and now I am a volunteer professor in Italy. I am also a learning designer: I am in charge of managing the content production for the e-learning platform maize.PLUS
I define the content offering for the platform and manage the courses creation in terms of educational approach, staff, and final form
France, Portugal, and Italy
When I was in France, I taught Italian in Lycée Vaugelas. In Portugal, I worked as an assistant teacher at the local chapter of Associazione Dante Alighieri. Now, I volunteer as a teacher for a local non-profit
Train the trainer
I often design learning experiences and courses for people that will later on teach to others. For instance, I starred in a video lesson on how to build courses using Articulate Rise!

An aesthetic monograph about what drives us human beings: desire
Here I have full control of the editorial process, in terms of what gets published and the general tone of voice

Limited humans, limitless technology?
My latest article dwells on the limits Large Language Models - such as the one ChatGPT is based on - show and how these limits actually define us as humans
